The definition of Emotional Eating is different for everyone. It involves different words & feelings. The best way I've found to define it is: Are you regularly violating your values & decisions round food & is it becoming a problem for you?

Emotional Eating is different for everyone.
You may label or call it something different but it’s usually the same problem…
Violating your decisions around food – i.e. breaking promises to yourself over what you said you’d eat because of the uncomfortable feeling you get when you get an urge to eat.
As I said, different people label the feeling in different ways…
It could be:
- Emotional Eating
- Cravings
- Urges
- Binges
- Compulsions
- Uncontrollable eating
- Mindless eating
- Boredom eating
- Food addiction
- Sad eating
- Happy eating
- …or something else entirely.
And the problem isn’t actually a food problem, but a mental wiring problem.
So it’s something you have to solve by re-training your brain rather than what to eat, when to eat and how to eat.
