How do you define emotional eating to yourself?

It’s different for everyone.

You may label or call it something different but it’s usually the same problem…

Violating your decisions around food – i.e. breaking promises to yourself over what you said you’d eat because of the uncomforable feeling you get when you get an urge to eat.

As I said, different people label the feeling in different ways…

It could be:

  • Cravings
  • Urges
  • Binges
  • Compulsions
  • Uncontrollable eating
  • Mindless eating
  • Boredom eating
  • Food addiction
  • Sad eating
  • Happy eating
  • …or something else entirely.

And the problem isn’t actually a food problem, but a mental wiring problem.

So it’s something you have to solve delving into your unconscious mind rather than what to eat, when to eat and how to eat.
